Central Park Flowers

It is autumn in New York and in Central Park and the trees are shedding their summer green for a brilliant display of red, gold and orange.

Some of the current flowers in Central Park that are blooming in the Conservatory Garden, Shakespeare Garden, The North Meadow Butterfly Gardens, and the other lush gardens are Goldenrod, Black-eyed Susan, Mountain Mint, Butterfly Bush, Globe Amaranth, Dahlia, Sunflower, Lantana, Rose, Salvia, Sneezeweed, Geranium, Japanese Anemone, Phlox, Late Boneset, White Snakeroot, Mistflower, Chrysanthemum, and Aster.


The best locations in Central Park to see beautiful, colorful wild flowers are Shakespeare Garden at 79th St on the west side of the park, Conservatory Garden at 104th to 106th Street and Fifth Avenue, the North Meadow Butterfly Gardens at the East Drive and 102nd to 103rd Street, The Ramble, the North Woods, the Dene Slope, the Wildflower Meadow and the Reservoir.
