Ellen Michaels, formerly a model, is currently a bird and wildlife photographer focusing on photos from the world renowned Central Park in NYC.

There was a rare and stunning, banded, male, Mandarin Duck at The Pond in Central Park in 2018 that had been photographed by thousands of people and appeared in publications throughout the world. He was one of the most beautiful birds that has been seen in Central Park. The Mandarin Duck is native to East Asia.
