Eastern Bluebird

The Eastern Bluebird is a small, vibrant thrush known for its royal blue back and head and warm red-brown chest.

Females have a lighter gray-brown head and back with muted blue wings and tail and an orange-tinged breast.

They feed by dropping to the ground onto insects, or by perching on fruiting trees to gulp down berries during fall and winter.
